AXIS DEER

AXIS DEER

Axis deer hunt, the most sought-after experience at El Sapo Guide Service LLC. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Texas Hill Country, these hunts capitalize on the Axis summer rut, offering a unique off-season adventure to kickstart the excitement before fall. The terrain of the Hill Country provides the ideal setting for this popular hunt in what we like to refer to as the Axis Golden Triangle. With over 30,000 acres we can provide unmatched flexibility and minimal hunting pressure. With this vast territory, we ensure a unique and advantageous hunting experience, stacking the odds in your favor to encounter and shoot the exceptional deer we are renowned for. Our goal at El Sapo Guide Service LLC is to provide an experience that brings customers back year after year.

HUNTS
Our hunts include 3 nights of accommodations, and up to 5 hunts (3 mornings and 2 afternoons). The hunter will arrive after lunch one afternoon, but prior to sunset, so we can sight-in your rifle at our range. We will then hunt the next two days and the morning of the third day, if required, to harvest your trophy. All of our Axis hunts are primarily Spot & Stalk. Our guides are all experienced and will make every effort to make your hunt the memory of a lifetime. Prior to the harvest of an animal, our guides must approve that the deer meets our trophy age requirement (must be 5 years old or older) and is within the B&C score range you are hunting. However, the hunter will have NO obligation to harvest any animal. Hunter satisfaction to generate repeat customers is our number one goal.

HUNTING STYLE:

This hunt will be primarily SPOT & STALK style hunting. We will cover a lot of ground in a vehicle glassing to look over & locate the type of trophy you are looking for. Once we’ve located an animal we want to pursue we will make a game plan based off the wind & terrain before we start the stalk on foot to get within your comfortable shooting range. Wear good boots & be prepared to shoot off of shooting sticks. ( Practicing off shooting sticks before your hunt will be extremely beneficial on this hunt.

“I’d never met Brandon before arriving at the airport in San Antonio. But within seconds after putting my rifle and gear in the bed of his immaculately cleaned truck and climbing into the cab I felt like I was hanging out with an old friend. The following days were a mix of Texan hospitality, food I’m still talking about, incredible wildlife and an adventure steeped in history. I shot a world class Axis buck, but what I’ll come back for is the indescribably high quality of the whole experience. As a guide and outfitter of over 20 years, I am especially critical of others in my profession— I consider Brandon a lifelong friend and give El Sapo Guide Service my highest endorsement.”
